The messaging service Telegram has revealed a strategic alliance with Elon Musk’s artificial intelligence venture, xAI. This collaboration will introduce xAI’s Grok conversational AI system to Telegram’s extensive global user community. Pavel Durov, Telegram’s chief executive, disclosed this development through a post on the X social network.
The incorporation of Grok AI capabilities into Telegram’s platform is scheduled to roll out during the upcoming summer months, offering the messaging app’s user base of more than one billion people access to sophisticated artificial intelligence features. The collaborative agreement is structured to continue for a twelve-month period.
Beyond the technological advantages, this alliance significantly strengthens Telegram’s economic standing. The messaging company will obtain $300 million through a combination of direct payments and ownership stakes from xAI. Additionally, Telegram is positioned to earn 50% of revenue generated from xAI subscription services purchased through the Telegram ecosystem.
This collaboration between Telegram and xAI marks a notable development within the technology sector. The partnership exemplifies the expanding movement toward incorporating artificial intelligence capabilities into commonly used software platforms, improving both user engagement and operational features.
