Tesla (NASDAQ:TSLA) China shipments fell 15% year-over-year in May to 61,662 units, according to a preliminary report from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers.
Despite a year-over-year decline, the electric vehicle maker reported a 5.5 percent increase in sales compared to April.
The report also highlighted an estimated growth in wholesale shipments of new energy vehicles. These are expected to have increased 38% year-over-year, or 9% from the previous month, to a total of 1.24 million units.
