Honda Initiates Recall of Over 259,000 Vehicles in the U.S. Due to Brake Pedal Defect

Honda Motor Company (NYSE:HMC) announced a recall involving 259,033 vehicles in the United States after the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) identified a potential safety issue with the brake pedal. The problem involves the brake pedal possibly shifting out of its intended position.

This recall covers several models, including Acura TLX vehicles from 2021 to 2025, Acura MDX models from 2023 to 2025, and Honda Pilot models spanning 2023 to 2025.

The NHTSA warned that the faulty brake pedal might impair the vehicle’s braking capability, increasing the likelihood of accidents and posing a danger to drivers and passengers.
