Nvidia Insiders Sell Over $1 Billion in Stock Amid AI-Driven Market Rally, FT Reports

Nvidia executives and insiders have sold more than $1 billion worth of company stock over the past year, according to a report from the Financial Times on Sunday. The sell-off coincides with a sharp rise in Nvidia’s share price, fueled by surging investor enthusiasm around artificial intelligence.

The report notes that over $500 million of these stock sales occurred in June alone, as shares of the California-based chipmaker hit record highs. Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang began selling shares this week, marking his first sale since September, according to recent SEC filings.

On Wednesday, Nvidia’s stock reached an all-time high, briefly making it the world’s most valuable company. This milestone followed bullish analyst commentary predicting Nvidia would benefit from a “Golden Wave” of AI growth.

The company’s latest stock surge reflects a broader return to the AI-driven rally that has boosted chipmakers and tech firms in recent years, amid growing optimism about the transformative potential of the technology.

Since hitting a low on April 4—when markets reacted negatively to global tariff announcements by President Donald Trump—Nvidia shares have rebounded more than 60%. Investors are now betting that future trade negotiations will ease tariff pressures and support continued growth.
