Tesla’s EV Sales in China Climb Slightly in June, Ending Downward Trend

Tesla (NASDAQ:TSLA) saw a modest rebound in its China-made electric vehicle sales in June, according to data from the China Passenger Car Association released Wednesday. The company delivered 71,599 units last month, up 0.8% from the same period last year.

Deliveries of Model 3 and Model Y vehicles produced at Tesla’s Shanghai facility increased 16.1% compared to May, fueled by demand within China and exports to international markets including Europe.

Meanwhile, BYD (USOTC:BYDDY), Tesla’s leading competitor in China, reported a stronger growth, with global sales rising 11% year-over-year to 377,628 vehicles in June.
