Sealsq Stock Rises as Company Deploys Quantum-Secure eUICC Technology

Sealsq Corp (NASDAQ: LAES) stock climbed 3.5% following the announcement that it has started deploying its GSMA-accredited embedded Universal Integrated Circuit Card (eUICC) technology with telecom operators globally. This advanced technology incorporates post-quantum cryptographic features designed to safeguard against emerging quantum computing threats.

The Geneva-based semiconductor firm targets mobile phones, IoT devices, and connected infrastructure, aiming to provide robust security against current cyber threats while future-proofing against potential quantum attacks on traditional cryptographic protocols such as RSA and ECC.

“By preparing Post-Quantum security for our GSMA-accredited eUICC technology, we’re enabling a new era of trusted, scalable, and future-proof connectivity,” said Carlos Moreira, CEO of Sealsq.

The technology includes a GSMA Root CI-accredited Root Certificate Authority hosted in Switzerland, supporting secure identification and authentication of eSIMs within the GSMA Remote Provisioning framework for consumer, machine-to-machine, and IoT devices.

Sealsq has also invested in WISeSat.Space, a satellite company developing low-earth orbit satellites for IoT connectivity. This partnership allows telecom operators to extend post-quantum security services to space-based applications through the WISeSat satellite constellation.

This deployment aligns with the telecom industry’s ongoing shift from physical SIM cards to remotely provisioned eSIM profiles, targeting smart cities, industrial IoT, and mobile communications across manufacturing, logistics, and agriculture sectors.
