Disney secures WWE Premium Live Events for ESPN in $1.6 billion deal

Disney (NYSE:DIS) has inked a $1.6 billion agreement to make ESPN the exclusive U.S. broadcaster of WWE Premium Live Events starting in 2026, according to The Wall Street Journal.

This deal will bring major wrestling events such as WrestleMania, Royal Rumble, SummerSlam, Survivor Series, and Money in the Bank exclusively to ESPN’s upcoming streaming platform.

Additionally, select WWE events will be simulcast on ESPN’s linear TV channels, broadening the availability of WWE content across multiple platforms.

The acquisition marks a major content addition for Disney’s sports network as it expands its streaming portfolio alongside its traditional cable offerings.
