Celsius Shares Spike After Crushing Q2 Estimates with Strong Sales and Market Gains

Celsius Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ:CELH) saw its shares rally 12.7% in Thursday’s premarket trading following an impressive earnings report that outpaced Wall Street expectations, thanks to accelerating demand and the recent Alani Nu acquisition.

For the second quarter, the energy drink company posted adjusted earnings per share of $0.47, nearly twice the $0.24 expected by analysts. Revenue surged to $739.3 million, far exceeding the consensus estimate of $654.3 million and marking a sharp 84% increase from the $402 million recorded a year earlier. A major driver behind this leap was $301.2 million in sales generated by the Alani Nu brand, which Celsius acquired on April 1, 2025.

Celsius continues to expand its presence in the competitive U.S. energy drink market, boosting its market share to 17.3% — up 180 basis points year-over-year. The company attributes its momentum to the rising popularity of zero-sugar, functional beverages among health-conscious consumers.

“Celsius Holdings delivered strong results in the second quarter, supported by solid sales growth for the CELSIUS and Alani Nu brands and operational efficiencies across our business,” said John Fieldly, Chairman and CEO of Celsius Holdings. “We believe modern energy is one of the most exciting growth opportunities in beverages today, and Celsius Holdings is defining the category’s future.”

While gross margin came in at 51.5%, slightly below last year’s 52%, the dip was largely attributed to Alani Nu’s margin structure. International revenue also showed solid performance, rising 27% to $24.8 million, with the company making headway in new markets including the UK, Ireland, France, Australia, New Zealand, and the Netherlands.

U.S. retail sales in tracked channels grew 29% from the prior year and 25% sequentially, with steady month-over-month gains since January 2025. Alani Nu, in particular, stood out with a 129% year-over-year increase in retail sales and 39% growth from the previous quarter.
