Chijet Motor Company, Inc. (NASDAQ:CJET) saw its stock jump 80% in premarket trading Friday after announcing the appointment of Jason Miller as Chief Operating Officer, tasked with leading the company’s expansion into digital currencies.
Miller will oversee Chijet’s strategy to integrate leading cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana, into the company’s treasury. With more than 20 years of experience in blockchain, digital identity, and emerging technologies, Miller is set to guide the rollout of Chijet’s Digital Currency Treasury Strategy.
The roadmap includes initial acquisitions of Bitcoin and Ethereum by Q4 2025, followed by the launch of a full-scale treasury management framework in Q1 2026.
“Jason’s breadth of experience in blockchain strategy and execution makes him the ideal leader to accelerate our transformation,” said Melissa Chen, CEO of Chijet. The company plans to develop services in digital asset custody and wallets under Miller’s direction.
Miller commented, “The institutional adoption wave is here, and companies that move decisively into digital asset treasury management are being rewarded with extraordinary shareholder returns.” He emphasized that Chijet could emerge as a leading corporate player in Bitcoin strategy.
The move comes as institutional adoption of digital assets accelerates, with Chijet aiming to strengthen financial resilience and optimize asset allocation by participating in the decentralized finance ecosystem.
