Daimler Truck Holding AG (TG:DTG) and General Dynamics Land Systems Inc. (NYSE:GD) are expanding their cooperation in the defense sector as governments boost military budgets worldwide.
The enhanced partnership centers on Daimler’s Mercedes-Benz Special Trucks unit, which produces the Zetros and Unimog all-terrain vehicles currently deployed by NATO members and various armed forces globally.
Under the agreement, Mercedes-Benz Special Trucks will team up with General Dynamics to deliver fully integrated logistics vehicles as well as long-term service and maintenance support across Europe, North America, and other regions, Daimler said in a statement Friday.
By pooling their resources and expertise, the two companies are positioning themselves to secure new contracts and benefit from growing demand for military-grade vehicles and support solutions.
