Snowflake (NYSE:SNOW) saw its stock rise 5% on Thursday, while Palantir Technologies (NYSE:PLTR) gained 1%, after the two companies unveiled a strategic partnership to integrate Snowflake’s AI Data Cloud with Palantir’s Foundry and Artificial Intelligence Platform.
The collaboration is designed to help organizations in both commercial and public sectors build more efficient data pipelines and accelerate AI application development. A central component of the partnership is bidirectional, zero-copy interoperability between Foundry and Snowflake Iceberg Tables, reducing data duplication and streamlining workflows.
Eaton (NYSE:ETN), a global power management company operating in over 175 countries, is among the early adopters of the integrated solution. The firm is using the technology to establish a secure, unified data foundation that supports enterprise-wide governance and enables faster AI-driven innovation.
“With a native integration between Snowflake and Palantir, two of our strategic technology partners, we eliminate tedious data movement tasks allowing us to focus on delivering outcomes ranging from agentic configuration, pricing and quoting to digital twins on our shop floor and improved servicing of our products in the field,” said Ross Schalmo, Chief Data Officer at Eaton.
By adopting the integrated solution, Eaton aims to enhance customer experiences through AI-driven order recommendations, improve supply chain orchestration, and connect engineering to manufacturing with full business traceability.
Mike Gannon, Chief Revenue Officer at Snowflake, described the collaboration as “a natural fit” to help customers deploy intelligent applications with less friction. Ted Mabrey, Global Head of Commercial at Palantir, added that “first class interoperability means our customers win.”
