Rocket Lab shares jump as company schedules launch just 48 hours after prior mission

Rocket Lab USA, Inc. (NASDAQ:RKLB) surged 5.2% in premarket trading Thursday after revealing that its next Electron mission will lift off less than two days after a successful launch from a separate facility.

The upcoming mission — titled Follow My Speed — is slated for November 20, 2025, from Launch Complex 1 in New Zealand. The announcement comes on the heels of the company’s 75th overall launch, completed from Launch Complex 2 in Virginia, a milestone that allowed Rocket Lab to break its previous annual record of 16 missions.

This next deployment will carry a satellite for an undisclosed commercial client and will represent Rocket Lab’s 18th mission of the year, setting a new high-water mark for annual launches. The tight operational window between missions in opposite hemispheres highlights the company’s maturing rapid-response launch capabilities.

The planned liftoff also marks the third instance within the past year in which Rocket Lab has executed two launches within a 48-hour span — further underscoring its operational agility and consistency.

With launch sites in both New Zealand and Virginia, Rocket Lab continues to build its reputation as a global player in orbital launch and space systems, offering flexible scheduling and increased cadence for commercial and government customers.
