Nvidia Shares in Focus After CEO Frames China as a “Bonus Opportunity”

Nvidia (NASDAQ:NVDA) CEO Jensen Huang said China should be viewed as a “bonus opportunity” for the chipmaker, noting that the company’s immediate priority is satisfying exceptional worldwide demand for its technology.

Speaking in an interview with CNBC on Monday, Huang said demand for Nvidia’s products is currently “skyrocketing,” leaving the company fully absorbed in serving customers across its core global markets. He stressed that while China could contribute to future growth, it is not central to Nvidia’s present roadmap.

Huang added that if China ultimately becomes a major market for Nvidia, the shift would create advantages not only for the company but also for the broader U.S. economy and international tech ecosystem.

His remarks come as semiconductor manufacturers continue to navigate evolving U.S.–China trade policies, including tightening export controls that have reshaped market access for advanced chips and computing hardware.
