Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F) has initiated a recall affecting 108,762 vehicles in the United States after regulators identified an issue involving the liftgate hinge covers, according to a notice from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
The agency said the recall, announced Friday, is intended to fix a defect in which the hinge cover on the liftgate may not be properly secured and could separate from the vehicle while in use.
