Castellum, Inc. (AMEX:CTM) rose 5.3% on Monday following news that the company’s subsidiary and joint-venture partners secured spots on the Missile Defense Agency’s SHIELD Multiple Award IDIQ contract vehicle.
The cybersecurity and electronic-warfare services firm said that Specialty Systems, Inc., CTM Joint Venture, the C-K2 mentor-protégé JV, and the Epic Specialty Systems mentor-protégé JV all won positions under the SHIELD program, which is designed to advance multi-domain defense capabilities.
The SHIELD contract centers on developing technologies to detect, track, intercept, and neutralize threats such as ballistic, hypersonic, and cruise missiles across every phase of flight. Work under the vehicle will support both classified and unclassified efforts spanning multiple security environments.
Castellum noted that SHIELD emphasizes rapid delivery of innovative tools to warfighters, incorporating AI- and machine-learning–enabled applications where appropriate.
Drew Merriman, Castellum’s Chief Operating Officer, said the award “underscores Castellum’s commitment to delivering cutting-edge, AI-enabled, multi-domain solutions to our nation’s most critical defense challenges.”
President and CEO Glen Ives described the wins as “strategic, important” milestones that strengthen the company’s ability to provide technology solutions and technical services addressing sophisticated missile-related threats.
The contract supports U.S. national defense priorities by enabling continuous, layered protection against threats from land, sea, air, space, and cyberspace.
