TotalEnergies and Google Enter Long-Term Renewable Power Deal

TotalEnergies (EU:TTE) has entered into a 21-year power purchase agreement with Google (NASDAQ:GOOG) under which it will supply 1 terawatt-hour of electricity generated from the Citra Energies solar facility in Malaysia. The renewable power will be used to support Google’s data centre operations in the region.

The agreement aligns with TotalEnergies’ strategy of delivering long-term, competitive electricity solutions to large corporate customers, while reinforcing Google’s commitment to sourcing clean energy for its global infrastructure. The deal also strengthens TotalEnergies’ footprint in the fast-growing renewable energy market across Asia.

By securing a long-duration contract, TotalEnergies enhances the visibility of future revenues from its solar assets and further positions itself as a key partner for technology companies seeking to decarbonise their energy supply.

TotalEnergies is a global integrated energy company active across the entire energy value chain, including oil, biofuels, natural gas, biogas, low-carbon hydrogen, renewables, and electricity. The group employs more than 100,000 people and operates in around 120 countries, with a focus on delivering reliable, affordable, and increasingly sustainable energy solutions.
