A2Z Cust2Mate Solutions Corp (NASDAQ:AZ) shares climbed 15% after the company said it had broadened its collaboration with Migros Ticaret A.Ş., Türkiye’s largest supermarket operator, to roll out its latest smart cart technology in selected stores.
The expanded agreement follows Migros’ earlier use of Cust2Mate’s solutions and will introduce the company’s next-generation smart cart platform. The system upgrades standard shopping carts into connected digital touchpoints, blending online-style functionality with the in-store shopping experience.
Under the plan, the first phase of deployment is expected to begin in select Migros locations in the third quarter of 2026, with the longer-term ambition of extending the technology across Migros’ roughly 3,800-store network. Cust2Mate said the solution is designed to boost customer engagement, lift basket sizes, enhance loyalty, and improve store-level efficiency.
“Retail is no longer a choice between online and in-store; it’s about creating one continuous, frictionless journey that meets shoppers where they are and how they want to buy,” said Gadi Graus, CEO of A2Z Cust2Mate.
The announcement comes as retailers step up investment in digital tools that support smoother shopping journeys while also helping operators cut costs and reduce shrink. Cust2Mate’s modular, data-driven smart cart platform is positioned to connect physical and digital retail by turning everyday carts into interactive, insight-generating assets.
