Mobix Labs Names New Defense General Manager, Moves Toward Expanded Military Facility

Mobix Labs (NASDAQ:MOBX), a provider of advanced connectivity technologies for defense, aerospace, 5G and other high-reliability applications, has named Amir Asvadi as General Manager of its EMI product line and defense manufacturing operations.

Alongside the leadership change, the company announced plans to relocate into a larger, military-certified facility as it looks to expand operations and boost production capacity for defense and aerospace customers.

Mobix Labs serves military, defense and aerospace markets where reliability and performance are critical requirements. The company said its EMI product line is a key enabler of dependable performance in demanding operating environments. With the new leadership appointment and the planned expansion of its manufacturing footprint, Mobix Labs aims to strengthen execution and respond to rising demand across its core defense and aerospace markets.

Recent developments have highlighted growing adoption of Mobix Labs’ high-performance components, which are integrated into a range of U.S. military and defense platforms. These include the F-35 Lightning, F/A-18 Super Hornet, F-22 Raptor, MH-47 Chinook and the Apache helicopter, reflecting increasing demand for the company’s technology across multiple programs.

Asvadi brings extensive experience in leading defense and aerospace-focused business units within publicly listed companies. His background includes senior leadership roles at Microsemi, where he managed cross-functional teams and oversaw complex operations.

“Amir is an experienced defense and aerospace leader with a strong track record of building and running high-performance teams,” said Phil Sansone, CEO of Mobix Labs.

The proposed facility expansion is intended to bring Mobix Labs’ West Coast operations together at a single site, a move the company expects will improve efficiency and streamline production. The announcement follows a period of rapid top-line growth, with Mobix Labs reporting revenue growth of 180% over the past twelve months, even as analysis points to significant cash burn and short-term liabilities exceeding liquid assets, reflected in a current ratio of 0.14.

Mobix Labs said the management change and manufacturing expansion are designed to help scale operations in response to increasing demand from defense and aerospace customers, where secure, high-reliability technologies are a priority.

“With a new general manager and an expansion plan underway, we believe Mobix Labs is building the foundation for the next stage of growth,” Sansone added. “We’re focused on scaling what we do best—delivering reliable technology for critical missions.”
