Cheniere Energy (NYSE:LNG) expects to be processing about 10 billion cubic feet per day of natural gas by the close of 2026, chief executive Jack Fusco said Tuesday while speaking at an American Petroleum Institute event in Washington.
Fusco said the milestone underscores confidence in the United States’ ability to further strengthen its position as a leading global supplier of liquefied natural gas.
His comments come against a more cautious backdrop for parts of the energy sector. Separately, Marathon Oil’s chief executive warned that crude prices slipping below $50 a barrel would be a “concern” for U.S. producers, highlighting potential pressure points even as LNG export capacity continues to expand.
