BlackRock tops fourth-quarter forecasts as assets climb to $14 trillion

BlackRock, Inc. (NYSE:BLK) reported stronger-than-expected fourth-quarter results on Thursday, posting adjusted earnings per share of $13.16, above analyst estimates of $12.44. Revenue reached $7.0 billion, exceeding the consensus forecast of $6.75 billion.

The world’s largest asset manager ended the quarter with assets under management totaling $14 trillion, driven by record quarterly net inflows of $342 billion. For the full year, net inflows reached $698 billion.

The quarter was highlighted by 12% annualized organic base fee growth, supported by broad strength across iShares ETFs, systematic active equities, private markets, outsourcing, and cash management. Quarterly revenue increased 23% compared with the same period a year earlier.

BlackRock shares rose 1.4% following the earnings release.

“BlackRock enters 2026 with accelerating momentum across our entire platform, coming off the strongest year and quarter of net inflows in our history,” said Laurence D. Fink, chairman and chief executive officer. “Clients entrusted us with $698 billion of new assets in 2025, powering 9% organic base fee growth.”

For full-year 2025, BlackRock reported adjusted earnings per share of $48.09, while total revenue increased 19% to $24.22 billion. The company’s board approved a 10% increase in its quarterly cash dividend to $5.73 per share and authorized the repurchase of an additional 7 million shares.

Exchange-traded funds remained a key growth engine, generating $181 billion in net inflows during the fourth quarter and $527 billion for the full year. BlackRock’s retail business attracted $82 billion in inflows during the quarter, while cash management products brought in $74 billion.
