Kroger broadens grocery delivery reach through Uber Eats and Postmates

Kroger Co. (NYSE:KR) has rolled out its grocery delivery offering on the Uber Eats, Uber, and Postmates apps, extending on-demand and same-day delivery to customers from nearly 2,700 stores across the United States.

Through the delivery platforms, shoppers can browse full assortments from multiple Kroger-owned banners, including Ralphs and Fred Meyer, and place orders directly for home delivery.

To mark the nationwide launch, Uber is offering promotions of up to 50% off first-time orders from participating Kroger banners. Members of the Uber One subscription program will also receive free delivery on eligible purchases.

The expanded availability delivers on previously announced plans by the companies to increase convenience and choice for grocery customers by integrating Kroger’s stores into widely used delivery apps.

By partnering with Uber Eats and Postmates, Kroger is bringing its broad grocery selection to popular digital marketplaces, giving shoppers added flexibility in how and when they receive their groceries.
