FedEx Unveils France Overhaul Including Network Changes and Potential Job Cuts

FedEx Corp (NYSE:FDX) said on Friday that it is proposing a wide-ranging transformation of its domestic operations in France, aimed at streamlining its network and upgrading infrastructure.

The plan involves a reconfiguration of FedEx’s facilities across the country, alongside planned investment of up to €78 million in new technology and operational infrastructure. As part of the proposed changes, the group said it could eliminate as many as 500 operational roles in France and reduce the number of stations it operates nationwide from 103 to 86.

FedEx added that, while the restructuring would result in job reductions, the transformation programme could also lead to the creation of more than 770 new full-time and part-time operational positions in France, reflecting a shift toward a more modernised and efficient operating model.
