Envirotech Vehicles shares jump on progress in AI data center rollout

Envirotech Vehicles Inc (NASDAQ:EVTV) shares soared 42.8% in premarket trading on Monday after the company announced a major step forward in its artificial intelligence infrastructure partnership with AZIO AI Corporation.

The electric vehicle maker said it has successfully delivered, installed and powered a 40-foot AI data center container engineered for immersion-cooled computing. The unit is now fully connected to power and network systems and configured for immersion cooling, with the project moving into final engineering coordination ahead of CPU installation and full system commissioning.

The deployment marks a key milestone in the joint initiative between Envirotech Vehicles and AZIO AI, which is focused on enabling high-density AI computing while improving thermal efficiency, system reliability and operational durability. The container is intended to demonstrate real-world performance of immersion-cooled AI infrastructure in demanding operating conditions.

“These are the milestones that matter,” said Chris Young, CEO of AZIO AI. “Having an immersion-ready container delivered, installed, and energized moves this project decisively from planning into execution. With the infrastructure fully in place, we can now focus on CPU integration and performance validation, which is where real value creation begins.”

Envirotech Vehicles President Jason Maddox called the rollout “a significant achievement,” highlighting the company’s ability to deliver complex infrastructure solutions. The project supports EVTV’s broader strategy of expanding beyond vehicle manufacturing by developing new, diversified revenue streams.

The immersion-cooled AI data center is designed to achieve more than 99% uptime during steady-state operations and to operate within competitive power usage effectiveness ranges for immersion-based deployments.
