Shares of SentinelOne (NYSE:S) climbed about 2% on Wednesday after the cybersecurity company announced an expanded multi-year strategic partnership with Google Cloud aimed at developing integrated security solutions.
The collaboration will combine SentinelOne’s endpoint detection and response technology and AI-native security platform with Google Cloud’s infrastructure and threat intelligence capabilities. The companies said the initiative is designed to help organizations address data sovereignty requirements while supporting the growing adoption of generative AI technologies.
As part of the expanded agreement, SentinelOne’s Singularity Platform will be available across three Google Cloud regions: North America, Frankfurt, and Saudi Arabia. The broader regional footprint is intended to support in-country data residency needs and compliance with local regulatory standards.
The companies also plan to develop AI-focused security capabilities designed to safeguard the full AI technology stack. SentinelOne already works closely with Google as a Google Security partner, with integrations spanning Google Security Operations, Google Threat Intelligence, and Chrome Enterprise.
“Security teams are under growing pressure to defend increasingly complex environments and protect their highly sensitive data while reducing operational friction,” said Melissa Smith, SVP of Global Strategic Partnerships & Initiatives at SentinelOne. “With Google Cloud, we have chosen a highly secure and sophisticated platform for a data sovereignty strategy, and a strategic partner for intelligence sharing.”
Through the partnership, SentinelOne’s endpoint detection and response tools, AI application protection capabilities, and AI-native platform will integrate more deeply with Google Cloud’s infrastructure. The companies said the effort will enable more streamlined workflows, helping customers consolidate security tools and support a more automated security operations environment.
