Sagtec Global Limited (NASDAQ:SAGT) announced plans to develop a new data center powered by NVIDIA GPU architecture through its subsidiary CL Technologies (International) Sdn Bhd. The facility is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2026.
The Malaysia-based technology company said the new infrastructure will be designed to handle millions of daily transactions tied to food and beverage retail ordering, retail management systems, and financial technology platforms. The data center is intended to deliver high availability and low-latency performance as the company’s transaction volumes continue to grow.
According to Sagtec, the project reflects a broader strategic move toward owning and operating its own infrastructure instead of depending on third-party providers. The company currently focuses on point-of-sale systems and enterprise software solutions.
“Owning our infrastructure is a natural progression as we scale,” the company’s chief executive officer said. “With the integration of NVIDIA-powered systems and the continued development of CL Technologies (International) Sdn Bhd, we are strengthening our foundation in data and positioning the Group for long-term growth.”
Sagtec also plans to further expand CL Technologies, which currently manages the group’s internal data management and analytics functions. The company said the new data center will also help ensure compliance with regulatory requirements through jurisdiction-specific data handling capabilities.
The initiative forms part of Sagtec’s broader strategy to build Infrastructure-as-a-Service and Fintech-as-a-Service offerings aimed at generating recurring revenue streams. The company said it expects to publish its full-year financial results in early April 2026.
Sagtec added that the project is still subject to due diligence, final contract negotiations, and other customary closing conditions.
