IP Strategy Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ:IPST) said it is spotlighting a new collaboration between Aria Protocol and K-pop group RESCENE tied to the release of the single “Busy Boy.”
According to the company, the release represents the first newly issued music rights integrated into Aria’s ecosystem at launch, with royalty distributions directed to holders of the $APL token. By securing rights at the beginning of a track’s lifecycle, Aria aims to introduce a model for music ownership that connects investors and fans with music revenue from the outset.
The development also illustrates how Story’s blockchain-based infrastructure can support transparent ownership and monetization of entertainment intellectual property from creation through commercial distribution.
A remix of “Busy Boy” by Galantis—released March 12—adds a GRAMMY-winning producer to the project. Galantis has accumulated more than 10 billion streams globally, while RESCENE, which debuted in 2024, currently attracts over 665,000 monthly listeners on Spotify. The remix has been distributed worldwide and is intended to demonstrate how newly released music, rather than only legacy catalogs, can be structured within a rights-based ownership framework from the moment of release.
Aria’s existing $APL portfolio already includes royalty interests connected to songs performed by artists such as Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus and BLACKPINK. The RESCENE project expands that portfolio by incorporating a currently active artist at the time of release, rather than acquiring rights after the fact. The company said the approach also allows fans and investors to participate earlier in the revenue lifecycle.
IP Strategy said the initiative aligns with Aria’s broader strategy of leveraging Story’s IP infrastructure to make music royalties more transparent, liquid and accessible to a global investor audience.
