General Motors (NYSE:GM) has announced a recall of 32,988 Corvette vehicles after identifying a software defect that could stop the system from detecting failures in the rear turn signal lights, according to a filing with the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
The recall applies to select 2025 and 2026 Corvette models. Affected vehicles include the Corvette ZR1X Coupe, Corvette ZR1X Convertible, Corvette Coupe E-Ray, Corvette Convertible E-Ray, Corvette Convertible, Corvette Coupe, Corvette E-Ray Coupe, and Corvette E-Ray Convertible.
According to the notice, a fault in the lighting control module’s software may prevent drivers from receiving an alert if a rear turn signal stops functioning, potentially raising the likelihood of an accident.
