GitLab (NASDAQ:GTLB) shares rose 7.6% to $21.60 in premarket trading on Wednesday after the company announced a broader collaboration with Google Cloud.
The company said AI agents within its platform can now tap into Google’s foundation models, including Gemini, through Vertex AI. The integration also incorporates built-in compliance and auditing features to oversee and control system activity.
GitLab noted that customers will be able to deploy its AI Gateway directly on Google Cloud, eliminating the need for separate AI infrastructure.
