Energy Focus Highlights Progress on Data Center Projects, Expands Infrastructure Pipeline

Energy Focus, Inc. (NASDAQ:EFOI) provided an update on its ongoing data center infrastructure initiatives, outlining progress across two key projects—Project G and Project Y—as it deepens its presence in next-generation digital infrastructure.

Momentum in Data Center Demand

The company said it has completed Project G and is actively advancing Project Y, reflecting rising demand for high-capacity uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems and precision cooling solutions in large-scale and AI-driven data environments.

Project G Completed

Project G, completed in 2025, involved the deployment of a large-scale UPS system designed to support high-reliability operations. The engagement contributed approximately $0.5 million in revenue and underscores Energy Focus’ expansion into industrial and technology-driven sectors.

The client is a Taiwan-based advanced electronics manufacturer within a global printed circuit board (PCB) group, operating facilities in the Southern Taiwan Science Park and supporting applications in high-performance computing, communications, and AI.

The project highlights the company’s ability to deliver customized, high-efficiency power solutions for mission-critical operations.

Project Y Drives Multi-Year Growth

Energy Focus is now executing Project Y, a larger, multi-year program running from 2026 through 2027 with a major Asia-based data center developer.

The project includes:

  • Installation of large-capacity UPS systems ranging from 250kW to 1250kW
  • Deployment of high-efficiency Fan Wall Units (FWU) for thermal management
  • Phased rollout aligned with data center expansion timelines

The total contract value for Project Y is estimated at approximately $6.6 million, pointing to growing demand for scalable infrastructure supporting AI and cloud workloads.

Pipeline Expands on AI, Cloud Tailwinds

Energy Focus said these projects strengthen its pipeline through 2027, as global investment in AI, cloud computing, and digital transformation accelerates.

The company sees opportunities driven by:

  • Growth in hyperscale data center construction
  • Increasing compute density from AI workloads
  • Rising power and cooling requirements per facility
  • Greater focus on uptime and system reliability

Management said the projects demonstrate its engineering capabilities and reinforce long-term relationships with infrastructure developers and global operators.

Outlook

With multi-year deployments underway and additional opportunities under review, Energy Focus said it is positioning itself as a key infrastructure provider in the expanding digital economy. Further updates are expected as milestones are reached.
