Tesla (NASDAQ:TSLA) announced on Tuesday that it intends to extend availability of its Full Self-Driving (FSD) software to more international markets, following the expected U.S. launch of its V14 Lite version for vehicles equipped with HW3 hardware.
The company said the update is designed to ensure continued software support for HW3 vehicle owners, even as Tesla introduces newer generations of hardware.
Tesla noted that the broader international rollout of FSD V14 Lite will depend on multiple factors, including successful technical validation, localization for different regions, and obtaining the required regulatory approvals.
Because of these dependencies, the company said it cannot yet provide a firm timeline for deployment across global markets, but plans to share updates progressively as key milestones are reached.
FSD remains a central pillar of Tesla’s software-focused strategy, aimed at advancing autonomous driving functionality and building recurring revenue streams through paid software features, though it continues to face regulatory scrutiny in various regions worldwide.
