Weight Watchers Expands Reach Through LillyDirect Partnership (WW)

WW International (NASDAQ:WW) has integrated its Weight Watchers Med+ offering with Eli Lilly’s (NYSE:LLY) LillyDirect healthcare platform, broadening access to its clinical weight management services for patients using or considering prescription obesity treatments.

The collaboration connects LillyDirect users with Weight Watchers’ program, which combines GLP-1 medications with behavioral, nutritional and lifestyle support.

Med+ Program Added to LillyDirect Ecosystem

Through the integration, patients using LillyDirect will be able to access Weight Watchers Med+, a program designed to provide medical oversight alongside structured support for long-term weight management.

LillyDirect offers patients access to independent healthcare providers, prescription fulfillment resources and educational content, while Weight Watchers Med+ adds clinical care, coaching and community-based support.

The combined approach is intended to help patients manage their treatment journey beyond simply receiving a prescription.

Focus on Clinical and Behavioral Support

Weight Watchers said its Med+ platform is designed for a broad range of patients, including those evaluating weight-loss medications, individuals already taking GLP-1 therapies and people seeking ongoing support for weight management.

The program integrates care from licensed healthcare professionals with nutritional guidance, behavioral coaching and lifestyle-focused resources.

It also includes the company’s GLP-1 Success programme, which aims to help patients maximize the effectiveness of prescribed treatments while maintaining long-term health goals.

Management Highlights Importance of Patient Access

“A seamless connection from LillyDirect is central to expanding access while ensuring patients are supported beyond the prescription,” said Scott Honken, Chief Commercial Officer at Weight Watchers. “Weight Watchers Med+ is designed to support patients with the clinical and behavioral care they need to navigate weight health in real life.”

The company believes the partnership can help improve patient outcomes by pairing medication access with ongoing engagement and support.

Building on the Growth of GLP-1 Treatments

The integration comes amid growing demand for GLP-1 weight-loss medications and increasing interest in comprehensive care models that combine pharmaceutical treatments with behavioral health services.

Weight Watchers describes itself as a science-backed weight management company and has been providing weight-related health programmes for more than six decades.

In addition to its direct-to-consumer offerings, the company also works with employers and healthcare plans through its Weight Watchers for Business platform, extending its services across a broader healthcare ecosystem.
