Companies Expand International Collaboration
Autoliv, Inc. (NYSE:ALV) and Great Wall Motor (USOTC:GWLLY) have signed a new Global Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement aimed at broadening their international partnership, according to an announcement released on 6 July 2026.
The agreement was signed in Baoding, China, between Great Wall Motor and Autoliv (Shanghai) Management Co., Ltd., marking the next phase of a relationship that began in 2023.
Broader Cooperation Across Key Business Areas
The updated framework extends collaboration across several strategic areas, including global business expansion, supply chain integration, localized operations, the development of integrated vehicle safety systems and long-term sustainable growth.
The companies also plan to strengthen cooperation on product planning and innovation, with the objective of supporting Great Wall Motor’s continued international expansion.
Executives Highlight Long-Term Partnership
Autoliv President and CEO Mikael Bratt said the agreement represents another milestone in the relationship between the two companies.
“Today’s agreement marks an important step in our continued collaboration with Great Wall Motor. By combining GWM’s international growth ambitions with Autoliv’s global capabilities in automotive safety, we are strengthening the foundation for an even more integrated and resilient partnership,” Bratt said.
Great Wall Motor Chairman Jack Wei emphasized the shared commitment to vehicle safety.
“Safety is the bottom line of the automotive industry. The partnership between Great Wall Motors and Autoliv began with a shared vision and a steadfast commitment to the mission of safety. Now we are strengthening our collaboration and will jointly build the industrial cornerstone of automotive safety and deliver safer Great Wall vehicles to users around the world.”
Autoliv Strengthens Position in Global Automotive Safety
The expanded partnership further reinforces Autoliv’s presence in the global automotive safety market as manufacturers continue investing in advanced occupant protection technologies.
Autoliv generated sales of $10.8 billion in 2025 and employs approximately 64,000 people across 25 countries, making it one of the world’s largest suppliers of automotive safety systems.
