Bloom Energy (NYSE:BE) shares surged 6.4% in pre-market trading after congressional financial disclosures revealed that Nancy Pelosi’s household had established a sizeable new position in the clean energy technology company.
The transactions represent the first reported Bloom Energy trades linked to Pelosi and quickly attracted attention from traders ahead of the opening bell.
Pelosi Disclosure Shows Shares and Call Options
Filings disclosed on August 24 showed that Pelosi’s household acquired 15,000 Bloom Energy Class A common shares through two transactions completed on July 24 and July 28, 2026.
The disclosure also included the purchase of 200 call options with a $100 strike price and an expiry date of June 17, 2027, providing additional exposure to potential gains in Bloom Energy shares.
Based on the value ranges required under congressional disclosure rules, the combined transactions were reported to represent an investment of approximately $4.25 million to $14.5 million.
Pelosi also disclosed purchases involving Intel (NASDAQ:INTC) shares and call options. Intel is an established Bloom Energy customer for data-centre power systems, connecting both investments to growing demand for infrastructure supporting artificial intelligence and data centres.
Bloom Energy Growth Accelerates on Data-Centre Demand
The disclosure comes as Bloom Energy is already benefiting from strong operating momentum.
Second-quarter revenue exceeded $1 billion for the first time, representing year-on-year growth of approximately 166%. Management also increased its full-year 2026 revenue guidance to between $3.9 billion and $4.2 billion.
Growing electricity requirements from AI-focused data centres have emerged as an important demand driver for Bloom Energy, whose fuel-cell technology can provide on-site power for energy-intensive facilities.
The company’s exposure to expanding AI infrastructure has consequently become an increasingly prominent part of its investment case.
Wider U.S. Market Adds Support to Bloom Energy Rally
Broader market conditions were also constructive, with the S&P 500 gaining 0.4%, the Dow Jones advancing 0.4% and the Nasdaq rising 0.7%.
However, the congressional disclosure appears to have provided the main catalyst for the stronger move in Bloom Energy shares.
The combination of the newly disclosed Pelosi household position, accelerating revenue growth and increasing demand from AI data centres strengthened buying interest ahead of regular trading.
Bloom Energy shares moved above the previous session’s reference price of $204.02 and approached the $217 level in pre-market dealings, extending investor interest in a stock increasingly associated with the rapid expansion of power infrastructure for artificial intelligence.
