Take-Two Interactive Software Inc. (NASDAQ:TTWO) shares rose 2.3% in pre-market trading after Rockstar Games premiered “Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look” on Netflix on the evening of August 27.
Rockstar also reaffirmed the November 19, 2026 launch date for Grand Theft Auto VI alongside the showcase.
The release followed the circulation of unauthorised GTA VI gameplay footage online earlier in August.
Shares recover following unauthorised gameplay leak
Take-Two shares had previously fallen following the appearance of unauthorised gameplay footage around August 18, with the decline temporarily reducing the company’s market value by approximately $2.83 billion, according to the source material.
Rockstar addressed the incident on August 26 and described the leak as damaging to its team.
Take-Two also pursued legal measures intended to identify the source of the leaked material, including subpoenas targeting Microsoft and Discord, according to the source material.

Institutional investor discloses Take-Two stake

The disclosure came ahead of the scheduled launch of Grand Theft Auto VI later this year.
Take-Two gains as broader market remains subdued
The broader U.S. equity market was relatively subdued during pre-market trading.
The S&P 500 was down 0.04%, while the Nasdaq declined 0.3% and the Dow was 0.1% higher.
Against that backdrop, Take-Two shares traded as high as $238.25 in pre-market dealings, compared with a previous-session close above $233.
