Several GE Vernova (NYSE:GEV) customers received recognition in the 2026 POWER Awards for power generation projects using the company’s technologies.
The annual awards programme, organised by POWER Magazine, recognises projects and performance across the electricity generation industry.
PetroVietnam Power Corporation’s Nhon Trach 3&4 Power Plant in Vietnam received both the Plant of the Year Award and the Top Gas Plant Award.
The 1.6 GW facility uses GE Vernova’s 9HA.02 combined-cycle gas turbines. According to the announcement, Nhon Trach 3&4 is Vietnam’s first LNG-fired power plant and operates at combined-cycle efficiency of more than 63%.
Duke Energy Hydrogen Project Receives Award
Duke Energy’s DeBary facility in Florida received the POWER Magazine Hydrogen Award.
The project included combustion-system retrofits to two GE Vernova 7E.03 gas turbines, enabling the facility to produce, store and combust 100% green hydrogen for commercial peaking power generation.
The announcement described the project as the first end-to-end system of its type in the US power sector.
Dominion Energy Project Recognised for Modernisation
Dominion Energy’s Parr Station in South Carolina received the POWER Magazine Reinvention Award.
The modernisation project deployed GE Vernova’s LM6000VELOX package solution at a facility with more than 100 years of operating history.
The system added fast-start capability, black-start support and additional operational flexibility to the site.
