Bank7 Corp. (NASDAQ:BSVN) reported third-quarter 2026 earnings that exceeded analysts’ expectations, although revenue fell short of forecasts as net interest income and margins declined compared with the previous year.
The Oklahoma City-based bank holding company reported adjusted earnings of $1.06 per share for the quarter ended 30 September 2026, slightly ahead of the consensus estimate of $1.05.
Quarterly revenue totalled $23.37 million, below analysts’ expectations of $23.75 million.
Bank7 shares declined approximately 0.95% in pre-market trading following the announcement.
The results reflected continued loan portfolio growth and an improvement in sequential pre-provision earnings, alongside lower year-on-year profitability and pressure on net interest margins.
Net Income Declines as Interest Margins Narrow
Bank7 reported third-quarter net income of $10.20 million, equivalent to $1.06 per diluted share, compared with $10.84 million, or $1.13 per diluted share, in the corresponding period of 2025.
The figures represented a year-on-year decline in net income of approximately 5.9%, while diluted earnings per share decreased by 6.2%.
Net interest income fell to $22.30 million from $23.03 million a year earlier, a reduction of approximately 3.2%.
The bank’s net interest margin narrowed to 4.77%, compared with 5.07% in the third quarter of 2025, representing a decline of 30 basis points.
The lower margin indicated reduced profitability from the difference between interest earned on assets and interest paid on funding, relative to average interest-earning assets.
Despite the year-on-year decline in net interest income, Bank7’s adjusted earnings per share remained slightly ahead of market expectations.
Loan Portfolio Expands to $1.63 Billion
Bank7 continued to expand its lending portfolio during the quarter, with total loans reaching $1.63 billion at 30 September 2026.
The figure represented an increase of 2.22% compared with the previous quarter, despite significant loan repayments during the period.
Total assets increased by 4.84% quarter-on-quarter to $2.01 billion.
The growth reflected continued expansion of the bank’s balance sheet, even as net interest margins remained below their year-earlier level.
Thomas L. Travis, President and Chief Executive Officer of Bank7, highlighted the bank’s lending performance and new business opportunities.
“We are pleased with another quarter of strong core results, including growth in the loan book despite significant payoffs, while also maintaining a healthy pipeline of new loans,” Travis said.
The comments indicated that management continued to see opportunities for lending growth despite repayments within the existing portfolio.
Credit Loss Provision Falls to Zero
Bank7 recorded no provision for credit losses during the third quarter, compared with a provision of $700,000 in the same period last year.
The absence of a quarterly provision reduced the expense recognised for expected credit losses, although the announcement did not provide sufficient information to establish whether underlying credit quality had improved.
Pre-provision pre-tax earnings reached $13.62 million, representing a 23.65% increase from the previous quarter.
This measure excludes the effects of credit loss provisions and income taxes, providing an additional indication of operating profitability before those items.
The sequential improvement in pre-provision earnings contrasted with the year-on-year decline in net income and net interest income.
The results therefore showed differing trends across Bank7’s profitability measures, with stronger quarterly operating performance before provisions alongside continued pressure on interest margins.
Century Financial Merger Expected to Close in November
Bank7 also provided an update on its planned merger with Century Financial, which is expected to expand the bank’s operations into New Mexico.
The company confirmed that Century Financial shareholders had approved the previously announced transaction.
Completion is expected on 1 November 2026, following receipt of all necessary regulatory approvals.
The merger represents a geographic expansion for Bank7, extending its existing banking franchise into an additional US state.
The company did not disclose new financial terms or updated earnings projections associated with the transaction in its third-quarter announcement.
The planned acquisition will be an important development for the bank as it seeks to expand its market presence and lending activities.
Capital Ratios Remain Above Regulatory Requirements
Bank7 reported that its capital position remained significantly above the regulatory thresholds required for institutions classified as well capitalised.
The bank’s Tier 1 leverage ratio stood at 14.12% as of 30 September 2026.
The ratio measures Tier 1 capital relative to a bank’s adjusted average consolidated assets and provides an indication of its capital position.
Maintaining capital levels above regulatory requirements provides a buffer against potential losses and supports the bank’s ability to fund future operations.
Bank7’s third-quarter results showed continued balance sheet expansion and a modest earnings beat, offset by lower net interest income, margin compression and revenue below market expectations.
Investors will also be monitoring the expected completion of the Century Financial merger in November, which will extend Bank7’s geographic footprint into New Mexico.
