Baird Medical Signs Exclusive Distribution Agreement to Expand Microwave Ablation Sales Across 19 Chinese Markets

Baird Medical Investment Holdings Limited (NASDAQ:BDMD) has entered into a strategic distribution agreement with China Resources Pharmaceutical Commercial Group Medical Devices to expand access to its microwave ablation technology across 19 markets in China.

The agreement, signed through Baird Medical’s Chinese subsidiary Nanjing Changcheng Medical Equipment Company Limited, appoints China Resources Medical Devices as the exclusive distributor of specified microwave ablation products in the designated markets.

Following the signing, China Resources Medical Devices placed an initial order valued at approximately RMB 6 million ($900,000).

Agreement Targets Regions with Limited Existing Sales Coverage

The distribution arrangement focuses on Chinese markets where Baird Medical has historically maintained a limited direct commercial presence.

Under the agreement, China Resources Medical Devices will use its established distribution network to introduce Baird’s microwave ablation systems to additional hospitals and healthcare providers.

Microwave ablation is a minimally invasive medical technology that uses microwave energy to destroy targeted tissue, including certain tumours.

Baird Medical specialises in developing and commercialising ablation technologies for the treatment of solid tumours and other medical conditions.

Haimei Wu, Chairwoman and Chief Executive Officer of Baird Medical, said the agreement would support the company’s domestic expansion strategy.

“This partnership with China Resources Medical Devices, one of the leading medical technology distributors in the PRC, provides another important validation of our technology,” Wu said.

She added that the distributor’s established network could help increase adoption of Baird Medical’s products in previously underserved regions.

Initial Order Valued at Approximately $900,000

The initial purchase order of approximately RMB 6 million represents the first disclosed commercial commitment under the distribution agreement.

Baird Medical expects the partnership to support wider adoption of its microwave ablation technology across China, where the company already maintains an established commercial presence.

The agreement also forms part of Baird Medical’s broader strategy to expand product distribution through established healthcare organisations.

However, the company did not disclose the agreement’s duration, minimum future purchase commitments or expected total revenue contribution beyond the initial order.

Baird Medical Continues US and International Expansion

Alongside its activities in China, Baird Medical is expanding its commercial operations in the United States, where it accelerated the development of its sales infrastructure in late 2025.

The company’s principal microwave ablation system has received US Food and Drug Administration clearance for soft tissue ablation and is being introduced in the American market primarily for the treatment of benign thyroid nodules.

Baird Medical said its technology has been adopted by US healthcare institutions and medical practices, including Mayo Clinic, Columbia University Medical Center and The George Washington University Hospital.

The company is also developing additional minimally invasive technologies, including irreversible electroporation-based products and an artificial intelligence-powered robotic ablation system.

International expansion efforts extend to Argentina, Vietnam, Indonesia and Pakistan, with regulatory initiatives underway in additional markets.

Outlook

The agreement with China Resources Medical Devices provides Baird Medical with access to an established distribution network across 19 Chinese markets and an initial order worth approximately $900,000.

The partnership could support increased commercial penetration in regions where the company previously had limited direct sales coverage.

Baird Medical will continue pursuing growth opportunities in China while expanding its US operations and international distribution activities.

Future revenue from the agreement will depend on product demand, distributor sales performance and subsequent orders.
