Nike, Lululemon Athletica, and Tesla Climb in Premarket Trading; CorMedix Slides

U.S. stock futures edged higher early Friday, as investors awaited a key inflation report that could impact future Federal Reserve policy decisions.

Below are some of the notable U.S. premarket stock movers:

  • Nike (NYSE:NKE) jumped 9.9% after posting better-than-expected fiscal fourth-quarter results. The company also indicated that the financial strain from its turnaround strategy may have reached a low point.
  • Lululemon Athletica (NASDAQ:LULU) gained 1.7%, buoyed by Nike’s strong earnings. Meanwhile, Deckers Outdoor (NYSE:DECK), which owns the Hoka brand, rose 1.6%.
  • Meta Platforms (NASDAQ:META) added 0.8% despite a Reuters report that it could face daily fines in the EU if its updated advertising model fails to comply with new regulations.
  • Tesla (NASDAQ:TSLA) inched up 0.5% after CEO Elon Musk dismissed Omead Afshar, the company’s VP of manufacturing and operations, amid weakening global demand for EVs.
  • Uber (NYSE:UBER) rose 0.4%, even after Canaccord Genuity downgraded the stock from “buy” to “hold,” citing uncertainty around the rapid rollout of autonomous vehicle technology.
  • CorMedix (NASDAQ:CRMD) dropped more than 11% following its announcement of an $85 million common stock offering through RBC Capital Markets.
  • Core Scientific (NASDAQ:CORZ) surged 7.4% after The Wall Street Journal reported that AI infrastructure firm CoreWeave is in talks to acquire the bitcoin miner and hosting provider.
