Aeye Inc (NASDAQ:LIDR) saw its stock jump 270% following the announcement that its flagship Apollo lidar has been fully incorporated into NVIDIA’s (NASDAQ:NVDA) DRIVE AGX platform, a key element of NVIDIA’s autonomous vehicle technology suite.
This integration provides Aeye with direct access to NVIDIA’s network of leading automakers who are advancing self-driving and driver-assistance systems. The move marks a major achievement for Aeye in pushing its lidar technology into passenger cars.
“We are thrilled to now be officially certified as a part of NVIDIA’s DRIVE AGX platform, a strong validation of Apollo’s best-in-class capabilities,” said Aeye CEO Matt Fisch. “Apollo’s industry-leading 1-kilometer range and compact form factor make it a standout solution across every market we serve.”
Aeye’s lidar solution is software-defined, enabling upgrades and enhancements without needing hardware swaps, matching the trend for smarter, more adaptable vehicles that evolve over time.
The company plans to share more details on its upcoming earnings call set for July 31 and will also soon reveal information on OPTIS, described as a comprehensive physical AI platform for smart transportation, safety, and security beyond automotive applications.
