General Motors (NYSE:GM) is recalling 23,656 Corvette vehicles due to a potential fire hazard, according to a notice submitted to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
The recall covers certain 2023–2025 Corvette models, along with 2026 Corvette Convertible and Coupe vehicles equipped with a left-side radiator/fan assembly.
The issue arises from excess fuel that may spill into the vehicle’s fuel-filler pocket during refueling and could come into contact with an ignition source. If the leaked fuel reaches hot engine or exhaust components, it could lead to a fire.
To resolve the problem, GM dealers will fit a protective shield designed to redirect any spilled fuel away from potential ignition sources. The repair will be carried out free of charge for affected vehicle owners.
