Mexico’s private consumption grew 1.2% in the second quarter of 2025 compared with the first three months of the year, data from the national statistics agency showed on Friday.
On a year-over-year basis, however, household and business spending slipped 0.4% versus the same quarter in 2024.
The report also highlighted that aggregate demand advanced 1.4% quarter-on-quarter. Relative to the prior year, demand posted a more modest 0.3% increase.
