Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F) has announced a recall of 115,539 trucks in the U.S. after discovering a defect that could cause the upper shaft of the steering column to detach.
The U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) reported the recall on Wednesday, warning that the malfunction may lead to a potential loss of steering control.
Affected models include the 2020 and 2021 F-250, F-350, and F-450 trucks. Ford has stated that dealerships will inspect and, if necessary, repair or replace the faulty component free of charge for owners.
