Peloton shares climb on AI-driven coaching launch and new cross-training lineup

Peloton Interactive (NASDAQ:PTON) saw its stock rise 4% in premarket trading Wednesday following the rollout of an upgraded product suite featuring AI-based personal coaching and a new Cross Training Series.

The company introduced Peloton IQ, a system combining artificial intelligence and computer vision to offer tailored guidance for users. Alongside this, Peloton launched its Cross Training Series, which includes five connected fitness devices equipped with advanced features such as swivel screens for smooth transitions between workout modes.

The lineup includes the Cross Training Bike, Bike+, Tread, Tread+, and Row+. Premium “plus” models offer extra functionalities, including built-in motion-tracking cameras, voice control, and Sonos-tuned speakers. Peloton also unveiled the Peloton Pro Series, its first commercial-ready set of equipment featuring the Tread+ Pro treadmill.

“This is the start of a new chapter for Peloton,” said CEO Peter Stern. “We’re doubling the value of our hardware with the Cross Training Series by delivering world-class cardio and strength in a single machine.”

Expanding beyond its core cycling products, Peloton emphasized total wellness, noting that two million members now engage in strength training on the platform. To enhance this effort, the company announced collaborations with Hospital for Special Surgery for injury prevention programs and Halle Berry’s Respin Health for menopause-focused content.

Additionally, Peloton acquired Breathwrk, a wellness app centered on breathing exercises, and announced subscription price increases. Effective October, the All-Access Membership will rise from $44 to $49.99, App+ Membership from $24 to $28.99, and App One Membership from $12.99 to $15.99.

The new Cross Training Series is now available for purchase, with select products accessible via Amazon, Dick’s Sporting Goods, and starting October 2, at Johnson Fitness & Wellness stores.
