Brera Holdings PLC (NASDAQ:BREA) jumped 15% after announcing it will start trading under a new ticker, “SLMT,” beginning October 3, 2025. The change aligns with the company’s rebranding to Solmate and its strategic focus as a Solana-based crypto infrastructure provider.
Previously trading under “BREA,” the company said the new ticker highlights its position as a leading infrastructure company dedicated to the Solana ecosystem. Alongside the ticker change, Brera Holdings plans to rename itself Solmate to reinforce its market identity.
“Changing our ticker to SLMT is more than a formality,” said Marco Santori, CEO of Solmate. “Our new identity in the public market underscores Solmate’s role as one of the premier Solana-focused infrastructure companies in the public market today. Our North Star is growing SOL-per-share, and we intend to do this by standing up real, performant hardware where it will be the most impactful.”
Unlike many digital asset treasuries that rely on third-party validators for staking, Solmate is building proprietary infrastructure, including servers in Abu Dhabi, to directly power Solana’s network. This setup aims to generate more SOL per share than competitors while enabling faster and more efficient transaction processing.
The company’s leadership team includes Marco Santori, former Chief Legal Officer of Kraken and President of Blockchain.com, with board members Dr. Arthur Laffer and Viktor Fischer of RockawayX. The company is supported by a $300 million oversubscribed PIPE led by Pulsar Group, with participation from the Solana Foundation, RockawayX, and ARK Invest.
Brera Holdings emphasized that its Abu Dhabi base offers strategic advantages, including access to capital and a central geographic location bridging East and West, positioning it as a hub for global digital finance.
