Stellantis (NYSE:STLA) CEO Antonio Filosa has announced another round of leadership changes, appointing new heads for the company’s European operations and global manufacturing, just days after naming a new chief financial officer.
Emanuele Cappellano, who currently oversees Stellantis’ South American division, will assume the role of Head of Enlarged Europe and European Brands, succeeding Jean-Philippe Imparato. Imparato will now concentrate on reviving the automaker’s struggling luxury marque, Maserati, the company said on Wednesday.
Cappellano will also retain his position as head of Stellantis Pro One, the group’s commercial vehicle unit. Herlander Zola will replace him as Chief of South American Operations.
In a separate announcement, Stellantis confirmed that Francesco Ciancia will rejoin the company on November 1 as Global Head of Manufacturing and a member of its leadership team. Ciancia, who returns from Mercedes-Benz, where he led the automaker’s van division, brings over 20 years of experience in manufacturing and plant management, including previous roles at Fiat Chrysler and Stellantis.
The management reshuffle follows the recent appointment of Joao Laranjo as CFO last month, as Filosa accelerates efforts to streamline the company’s structure ahead of a business plan update expected in the first half of 2026.
“With these new appointments we are promoting exceptional talent from inside and out to leadership roles as we prepare our business for future success,” Filosa said.
Additional leadership changes include Ralph Gilles, who becomes Global Head of Design, and Gregoire Olivier, appointed Head of the China and Asia-Pacific Region.
