Amentum (NYSE:AMTM) shares climbed 2% in U.S. premarket trading after the company announced it had won a major contract worth up to $995 million from the U.S. Air Force Air Combat Command to provide Remotely Piloted Aircraft Maintenance Support.
The Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract will run for a five-year ordering period, supporting the modernization and maintenance of the MQ-9 Reaper, one of the Air Force’s most advanced unmanned aerial systems.
Under the agreement, Amentum will supply specialized personnel, weapons loading strategies, and aerospace ground equipment solutions to enhance the operational readiness of the MQ-9 fleet. The company’s services will be delivered both domestically and internationally to bolster combat preparedness and training at designated Air Force locations.
