Draganfly Shares Climb After Securing Second Order from Fortune 50 Telecom Giant

Draganfly Inc. (NASDAQ:DPRO) gained 6% in Thursday’s premarket session following news that the drone technology firm has received a second purchase order from a major Fortune 50 telecommunications provider.

The latest order includes several units of Draganfly’s Commander 3XL drone platform equipped with Unmanned Systems & Solutions Inc.’s LEAP® tethered-power system. The customer is expanding and standardizing its National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA)-compliant drone fleet, which is used for emergency management operations and restoring telecommunications infrastructure after disasters.

The integrated system pairs Draganfly’s versatile multi-mission aircraft with a tether solution that supplies continuous power and high-bandwidth data transfer. Together, the technologies are intended to support extended-duration missions in crisis response, telecom recovery efforts, and first-responder deployments.

“This second order validates the performance and reliability of Draganfly’s NDAA-compliant Drone Systems for disaster recovery, logistics, and communications support,” said Cameron Chell, President and CEO of Draganfly. “By integrating USaS’s tether technology, we’re able to deliver a solution that provides continuous flight capability for missions demanding persistent coverage and secure communication links.”

The additional order underscores Draganfly’s track record in merging specialized technologies to bolster operational capabilities across public safety, infrastructure resilience, and industrial applications. It also signals continued momentum behind the company’s strategy of offering flexible, high-performance solutions tailored to challenging mission requirements.
