Actelis Networks Inc. (NASDAQ:ASNS) edged 2.2% higher in premarket trading Wednesday after revealing that it has landed a fresh order from a leading railway operator in Japan.
The deal, valued at roughly $100,000, will supply Actelis’ cyber-hardened networking technology for a critical infrastructure modernization initiative. The company’s hybrid networking solutions let rail operators upgrade communication systems using existing copper and fiber lines, reducing both installation costs and service disruptions.
“Japan’s rail networks represent some of the world’s most advanced and demanding infrastructure environments,” said Tuvia Barlev, Actelis’ Chairman and CEO. “This order is a testament to the trust major transportation operators place in our ability to deliver secure, reliable connectivity solutions that enhance operational efficiency and safety.”
The order further solidifies Actelis’ foothold in Japan, a market where the company has already provided technology to several prominent rail and highway operators. Actelis focuses on hybrid fiber solutions for IoT and broadband systems, particularly those supporting high-security, mission-critical infrastructure.
The company has been expanding its reach in the region through collaborations with local distributors and integrators that serve transportation and critical infrastructure customers.
