General Motors (NYSE:GM) is recalling 3,408 vehicles after determining that certain trucks left the factory without an owner’s manual, according to a notice submitted to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
The recall covers select 2026 Chevrolet Silverado models, including the 1500, 2500, and 3500 series.
NHTSA stated that the omission places the affected vehicles in violation of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 225. Owner’s manuals are required because they provide essential guidance on vehicle operation and safety features.
Without the manual, drivers may be unaware of critical information needed to safely operate their trucks, increasing the potential risk of injury in the event of an accident.
GM said its dealerships will supply the missing manuals to owners free of charge.
