In the U.S. futures for the S&P 500 were flat and futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average flat. Changes in futures do not necessarily predict movements after the opening bell.
In Europe, the Stoxx Europe 600 was flat in morning trading. argenx climbed 31% and Dometic Group rose 11.3%. On the other hand, Tele2 Series B dropped 8.4%, and Afry slipped 7.4%. The FTSE 100 added 0.1%. Other stocks in Europe were mixed as France’s CAC 40 was flat and Germany’s DAX dropped 0.1%.
The Wall Street Journal Dollar Index dropped 0.2% to 94.69.
In commodities, Brent crude fell 0.2% to $78.35 a barrel, and WTI crude dropped 0.2% to $74.03 a barrel.
The German 10-year Bund yield declined by 3.5 basis points to 2.447% from 2.483%, and the yield on the 10-year U.S. Treasury fell by 3.9 basis points to 3.773% from 3.812% Bond prices and yields move in opposite directions.
Stocks in Asia were mixed as Japan’s Nikkei 225 index gained 0.3%, whereas Hong Kong’s Hang Seng declined 2.1%. China’s benchmark Shanghai Composite declined 0.4%.
